The No Name Show featuring DJ Meat was an attempt to have Nathan Haley (aka DJ Meat) as the host, with Nick producing, and not really being on mic at all.
The Good, The Bad & The Geeky! Podcast originally started by Nick was co-hosted with Nathan and called The No Name Show. In that original incarnation, Nick and Nathan brought different things to the original series: Nick wanted to talk entertainment/geek news, while Nathan preferred mostly other topical news topics. When Nathan started passing off duties and that role was taken by Jerome Wetzel (Jim), from a very early stage in the series, what started as a topical news show about anything (with talk of zany morning radio-show-like bits) became more focused on Nick’s passion (and Jerome’s as well) of entertainment/geek content. While that evolved into The Good, The Bad & The Geeky! Podcast, Nathan did state he missed doing the podcast, but admittedly geek stuff wasn’t his strong suit.
Hence, the GBG Presents… series provided Nathan a chance to host his own show. At the time, Charmae Riggs had done an episode or two of The Good, The Bad & The Geeky! and said she was interested in doing a different type of show as well. With our host and his sidekick, Nick produced the show. Only running 6 episodes or so for season 1, season 2 was scheduled but cancelled due to life events on all three sides.
Nathan talks about doing more. And when we do, we’ll post about it here.
Currently the series is not available in full on-line that we’re aware of, minus a preview of the first episode found here on http://www.gbgpodcast.com
